Rockaway Beach Autism Families is back with our 3rd ANNUAL END-OF-SUMMER BACK-TO-SCHOOL BBQ FUN-DAY! FUNDRAISER next Sunday, August 27th, 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Bayswater Park (701 Bay 32nd Street)!

This year, we’re making it an all-day FUN-day with a plethora of activities including potato bag, egg and spoon, and ice cream cone relay races, water balloon games, life-sized Jenga, ring toss, corn hole, sensory table, arts & crafts, face painting with our artist in residence, William Hernandez, and dancing.

Every child goes home with a back-to-school gift chockfull of autism-centric back-to-school supplies! Plus, medals for all the races.

Regarding the food—-feel free to take out or dine in!

Join Rockaway Beach Autism Families at our 3rd Annual Dance Out Under The Stars for Autism on Thursday, July 27th, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Caracas Beach 106th Street concession. Bring your family and friends. ALL WELCOME! FREE!

Get your dancing shoes ready or go barefoot (I do. LOL) and show off your dancing moves as DJ Rhythm Selector J waxes the vinyl on the boardwalk. (If there is a specific song or genre of music you’d like, feel free to send me your list!).

Plus, we’ll also have a photo booth, in which folks can forever memorialize the dancing evening.

There’ll also be a 50/50, from which proceeds go towards RBAF's upcoming events, including our annual end-of-summer BBQ fun day.

Join Rockaway Beach Autism Families at our May support group meeting for a FREE!, fun sensory gardening activity planting our own potted sunflowers. Plus, learn from our special speaker why physical fitness is crucial for the mental well being of individuals on the autism spectrum. Fitness demonstration afterwards. Bring your family and friends! Gardening supplies provided. Take home your own potted seedlings. And as always, refreshments served!

Rockaway Beach Autism Families presents, "Meet & Greet Art Exhibition and Reception” at Rockaway Roasters featuring local artists on the autism spectrum spectrum: fine arts painter, William Hernandez, and graphic artist, Grace Moroney. Folks, come out and support these immensely talented Rockaway young people hosting their very own art exhibition, plus they will be selling their work.

After Rockaway Beach Autism Families Walk for Autism 2023, join our after-party featuring live music at spectacular local barbecue restaurant/event space, RBQ. Don’t miss this awesome music lineup: Chris Solo, The Poorhouse and DJ Daryl! Also, in his sartorial splendor, The Best Dressed Man in Rockaway, is our post-walk celebration’s master of ceremonies and guest bartender. FREE!
