At this month's meeting, join Rockaway Beach Autism Families for a meaningful and fun art activity, "Create and Share Art for Ukraine.” Hosted on the last Thursday of April, as part of our goal to spotlight Autism Awareness for our Autism family in Ukraine, RBAF’s Artist in Residence, William Hernandez, an immensely talented 25-year-old on the spectrum, will be hosting this special art class for all to partake in—children, family and friends. Not only will this class give you a chance to flex your creativity, but learn about Ukraine’s flag, national flower and more. Art supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own, (including color pencils, pastels, crayons, markers, note that we we shan’t be using paints.)
Plus, RBAF will be sharing information about NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities’ (OPWDD) next Self Direction (https://opwdd.ny.gov/types-services/self-direction) sign up, announcements about our upcoming Autism Awareness Walk, sunflower garden activity and more! As always, delish refreshments will be served. Feel free to bring your own tidbits to share as well!
